STEWARDSHIP

Matthew 25:14-30

Introduction:

I. The parable of the   talents   applied to us today.

             A.  The master ion the parable is __Jesus     .

             B.  We are the ___slaves    that were called in and entrusted with things belonging to the ___master     .

1.  He is the one who gave us __ life     .

2.          Time       -  Ephesians 5:15-16

3.          Talents      -  I Corinthians 12:7

4.          Treasure     -  Money God has entrusted to us.

C.  What He entrusts and expects is according to our    ability  

1.  He has not      equipped     all of us the same.

2.  He does not give us the same      tasks       to do.

3.  He does not expect the same      results     for all.

4.  He does expect us to use what he has given us to

     accomplish His        purposes      .

D.  The day will come when He will settle        accounts  with us.

1.  Those who are faithful will hear, “   Well done    .”

2.  Those who are not       faithful       will be judged.

E.  What are we doing with the        stewardship         we have       been given?

Conclusion: 

A.  Between now and the end of the year we will;

1.  Elect       officers      and need to fill some various

             positions        .

2.  Set a       budget        and make      pledges      .

B.  “It is required of         stewards      that one be found

             trustworthy        .”  I Corinthians 4
